The Story
Officially renamed in 1977, the Hermès Kelly was originally called the Sac à Dépêches (which translates to ‘the dispatch bag’). The structured bag’s moniker came into effect in the ‘50s, when Grace Kelly was given one of the bags after wearing it on the set of an Albert Hitchcock movie.
